FAQ - Reporting

The framework of the Yokohama Plan of Action 2019 is made up of:

A) Focus Area(s),

B) Actions,

C) Actors,

D) Measures / Initiatives,

E) Expected Outcomes, with results-oriented language in the newly added column

F) Result/State of Progress.

All the TICAD partners are expected to update their D) Initiatives / Measures, E) Expected Outcomes as well as corresponding F) Result/State of Progress, after selecting A) Focus Area(s) and B) Actions from the drop-down list.

Each of the listed actions requires a wide range of other measures and initiatives to be successfully undertaken. Actors can indicate the sort of broad measures and initiatives they intend to implement in multiple countries, depending on their area of expertise. The names of measures / initiatives or brief summary of them will be described comprehensively. There is a limit of 30 words per entry.

Measures / Initiatives introduced by each actor is expected to facilitate building partnerships among all TICAD partners and to support AU flagship initiatives through the TICAD Platform.

Just as all TICAD partners are responsible for implementing actions within their areas of expertise and drawing on their comparative advantage, so too are they responsible for reporting on and monitoring progress. Each of the partner will be asked to indicate in broad terms what they have done to contribute to progress through a monitoring system. There is a limit of 50 words per entry.

All TICAD partners are requested to provide short (about 100 words) summary updates highlighting key achievements over the preceding period. The reports can include quantitative data (e.g. amount of funds, people reached) as well as other examples of progress (e.g. pictorial and video links). Hyperlinks to downloadable copies of more detailed reports will also be encouraged. References and examples of individual countries can be also included.
